Earlier today, a friend and I braved Marl Ravine
in Virginia's York River State Park (about ten miles west of Williamsburg). While a sitter watched the kids, we ripped the trails on this six-mile, black-diamond, single-track trail -- nothin' but rocks, roots, ruts and ravines. We actually made it about a nine-mile trail -- at mile marker 4, Dave noticed my saddle bag was open (and my multi-tool, bike lock and car keys not
inside). About a mile-and-a-half of backtracking before we met another rider who had picked them up around mile 2 (whew!).
